Tech Toys Everywhere at CES

As many of you know, the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is going on right now, and we’ve seen so many press releases about so many products that it’s tough to know where to start. We’ll soon be offering a CES wrap-up for Busy Women that will focus (no pun intended) on new products designed to make your photo experience better. We’re looking specifically at products that aren’t just shiny and gee-whiz cool but ones that actually solve real dilemmas and make the digital picture process less frustrating and more fun.

Many of us have been waiting for Steve’s announcement of the iPhone, which created a frenzy at Macworld and spawned a slew of articles about the product and its impact on the industry. To see some great pictures and Jobs’ keynote address, check out

Here’s another announcement that hit our radar: Canon’s new 5MP DC50 DVD Camcorder. It offers the ability to produce 5MP still images, which offers plenty of resolution for the photo hobbyist and offers direct-to-DVD recording. It has a slew of other features including Super Range Optical Image Stabilization, which is a really long way of saying that the camera helps eliminate camera shake. This is a great option for those of you who love shooting video and would like to create quality still images from the footage.
